A man suspected of killing four people in an Ohio home has been killed in a shootout with police that also injured three officers.
On Saturday morning, 27-year-old Randle Lee Roberts II was shot to death about half an hour after a young girl found the bodies of her relatives in a home near West Union in southern Ohio.
One of the three officers injured was released from the hospital and the other was expected to be released later Saturday, but the third was in serious condition, Reuters quoted Columbus Police Sgt. Rich Weiner as saying.
Roberts was suspected of killing the four victims earlier the same day at a home in West Union, an Adams County sheriff's dispatcher said.
Police found the four bodies after the young girl ran to a neighbor's house and told them that something was wrong with the four members of her family.
Another individual was wounded during the shootout but Weiner said investigators have not determined whether he was helping the gunman or was simply an innocent bystander.
