The 10 Gallery is planning to mount exhibitions of artworks created by three world-renowned Iranian artists in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The series will start with The Walls, a photo exhibition by the prominent Iranian filmmaker and artist, Abbas Kiarostami.

The event will display a collection of photographs taken of different types of walls, which picture them along with other accompanying elements such as windows and shadows.

Kiarostami has held many photo exhibitions at Tehran's 10 Gallery so far, including A Window to Life, Roads and Snow White.

As a filmmaker, painter, designer and photographer, Kiarostami has received many prestigious international awards, including the 1997 Cannes Golden Palm award and the 2008 Glory to the Filmmaker award of the Venice Film Festival.

The Iranian artist has also held a photo exhibition at Beijing's Imperial City Art Museum, and staged Mozart's comic opera buffa, Cosi Fan Tutte at London's Coliseum Theater and the 2008 Festival of Lyric Art in Aix-en-provence in France.

The following exhibition will be dedicated to works by veteran sculptor Parviz Tanavoli, showcasing his famous 'Heech' (nothingness) collection.

Tanavoli has held numerous international solo exhibitions in Austria, Britain, Germany, Italy and the United States.

His works adorn the New York Museum of Modern Art, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Seoul Olympic Park and the Iranian cities of Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz.

The 10 Gallery will also host a figurative painting exhibition titled Deviations in early autumn, presenting works created by Afshin Pirhashemi with the main theme of 'women.'

Pirhashemi has held exhibitions in Iran, Italy and China, and has received awards at the Tehran and Beijing international art biennials. His works have also been auctioned at Bonhams and Christie's.
