Dortmund players celebrate after Argentinean striker Lucas Barrios (hidden) scores the first goal against Nuremberg, April 30, 2011.
Borussia Dortmund has won the Bundesliga title with two games to spare after beating Nuremberg 2-0 at home and seeing Bayer Leverkusen lose to Cologne.

First-half goals from Lucas Barrios and Robert Lewandowski gave Dortmund their win in front of more than 80,000 fans.

This was Dortmund's seventh German league title and the first since 2002.

Leverkusen lost 2-0 to 15th-placed Cologne to remain without a Bundesliga title after yet another near miss.

The two results left Dortmund at the top of the table with 72 points, eight points clear of Leverkusen.

Both Dortmund and Leverkusen have secured a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League as Hanover was beaten 1-0 at home to Borussia M'gladbach to remain in third place with 57 with only two games remaining.

However, Bayern Munich have the chance to go third, and take a step closer to claiming the final Champions League qualification berth, if they beat Schalke 04 later Saturday.
