Foulad of Khuzestan has blanked its crisis-hit host Peykan in the 26th week of the Iran Premier League (IPL) to sit on the sixth spot of the table.

Nothing much happened in the first half of the game in the central city of Qazvin on Sunday as both teams did not show a good football.

Reza Norouzi opened the net six minutes into the hour mark and doubled his tally in the dying minutes of the match to give the few scant fans a reason to cheer.

In the other match of the day, Malavan Anzali also upset its host Shahin in Bushehr to claim the eight place of the table.

Mohammad Nezhati scored the solo of the match in the 79th minute to clinch the victory for Farhad Pourgholami's side.

Zob Ahan still leads the table with 50 points, Sepahan is only one point adrift of the top team on the second spot and one match in hand, Esteqlal is in third with 46 points, its archrival Persepolis is in fifth place with 44 points, under Teraktorsazi with 45 points.
