Colonel Russell Williams (R), former Commander of Canadian Forces Base Trenton pleaded guilty to the murder of two women and a long list of sex crimes on Monday, October 18, 2010.
A court in Canada has shown chilling confessions of a former air force commander, charged with 88 criminal charges, including two counts of murder.

In the video footage played in a packed Ontario courtroom on Wednesday, Colonel Russell Williams tells police how he stalked women, broke into their homes before raping and in two cases murdering them, the Associated Press reported on Thursday.

Williams, was the commander of Canada's busiest air force base and commanded a secretive Canadian base in Dubai. He once flew prime ministers and served as a pilot to Queen Elizabeth II during a 2005 visit.

He pleaded guilty to the rape and asphyxiation deaths of two women on Monday and is expected to be sentenced on Thursday.

Williams also pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two other women and 82 counts of breaking-and-entering, during which he stole hundreds of items of underwear and lingerie.

The 47-year-old faces an automatic life sentence with no possibility of parole for at least 25 years for the deaths of Jessica Lloyd, 27, and Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, 38.

He was arrested on February 8, a day after Lloyd's body was found on a rural road near her hometown of Tweed in east Ontario.
