Almost 500 people have been arrested in Toronto, as violent protests have broken out against the G20 summit in the Canadian city.
Banks and stores were targeted after several hundred protesters broke away from a larger, peaceful demonstration.
Police used teargas to disperse the crowd. The violence broke out blocks away from the venue for the G20 summit, which was held on June 26-27.
Since June 18, Police have made more than 500 arrests directed the detainees into a temporary detention centre, CNN quoted Nena Snyder, a spokeswoman for the Integrated Security Unit, as saying, on Sunday.
There were at least 90 arrests Sunday, she added.
The group has been discussing ways to sustain the global economic recovery. Leaders are trying to reach an agreement to cut national budget deficits within three years.
